On of the first speakers to be designed by laser interferometry (see this HiFi News article) and capable of stunning detail and imaging. Styled by Bob Boothroyd (of Meridian...).
However, the copper dome tweeter has limited sensitivity and the treble is a little 'down' compared to the bass. The result is a little loss of 'airiness' that takes a little getting used to, but it is a smooth and delightful speaker to live with. When Celestion increased the treble in the next iteration (with an aluminium dome) a vocal few said this delicious quality had been ruined...
