You cannot go too far wrong with this turntable. The reviews of the time were generally positive, but with some niggles: bouncy suspension, perhaps lacking finesse...
But now they seem beautifully engineered, and it is a happy thing that something so beautiful sounds so good. They were often partnered with a Rega RB 250 and Goldring G1042, and this combination works extremely well.
One of our favourite systems ever is a Syncro/RB250/G1042 with a Naim Nait Mk1 and Wharfedale Diamonds Mk1. All of this playing into speakers you can pick up for 40 quid? It shouldn't work, but it does, beautifully...
